I am now almost at the end of my second year at uni and so far I have completed about 10 different projects as part of my Interior Design degree. Thinking back at the time when I first started studying, I have come a very long way. This is why I wanted to do this remake or upgrade of my work a year ago. It is solely so I can really understand how much and where I've improved.
That being said, the first makeover will be my very first project. The task was to create a 'student oasis' inside the New Adelphi building at the University of Salford. I think I did an adequate job of coming up with a design back then. However, I can clearly see that I wasn't expressing my truest style and I was scared to experiment with colours and lights. A year ago I couldn't even imagine being able to model a 3D space and have it look realistic. Now, I do all of my visuals using 3D modelling software and rendering engines, because I just love the results. I tried to imagine a scenario where I am set this module now, and think of what I would do differently.
So here it is: Beginning of Year 1 VS Ending of Year 2
