In my last blog post, I shared my experience with the Blender software and what I like to use it for. (Read my last blog Software Review: Blender )

In this post, I will review an online course I have bought and finished as well. This course can be found on Domestika under the 3D & Animation courses. As you may know, I don't like to use Blender for Interior Design-related projects, but it is nice for creating an abstract dreamscape for example. Therefore, I decided to buy an online class, which would help me to further develop my skills. I watched the course trailer and thought I would be taught to model scenes. Well, turns out it wasn't exactly that. Don't get me wrong, the course itself is quite nice, it just wasn't what I expected it to be. Brellias is an incredible artist, who I honestly admire, but I feel like I could do with a bit more learning from his lessons. He explained how to set up the 'workstation' or layout of Blender so that you can see 4 different types of screens at once. He also showed how to find and use 3d models online legally and without getting copyrighted, which was important! Yes, I never thought I'd think of copyrights but it actually is a thing and it can get you into a lot of trouble if you are not careful! 😳 Brellias talked about lighting and camera positioning, both of which super important too. But that's it. This is all, and I feel like half of the things I already knew. Once again, the course itself is not the problem; I believe the problem comes from how the course was promoted and advertised. Watching the trailer made me think I will learn how to model my own pieces, which did not happen.
Overall, it is an alright class, I guess. Make sure you go over the contents table before purchasing, read the reviews and if you think it's right for you, then go for it!
